Ever since I can remember I was active in some sort of sport or physical activity. My love for sport and competition lead me to earn a scholarship to run Track & Field for the Idaho State Bengals where I competed as a Heptathlete and 400m hurdler for 4 years. During my time at ISU I earned my degree in Sport and Recreational Management. After my eligibility was up I started training and competing in marathons and Ironman Triathlons. I was always looking for that next challenge.
I moved to Salt Lake the summer of 2010 when I was offered the Track & Field Coordinator position at the Utah Olympic Oval. There I was able to develop recreational programs for our community youth as well as host a multitude of athletic events.
It was during a Fitness Elevated competition at the Oval that I was finally introduced to CrossFit. I had no idea when I came to work that day that I would be blown away by the incredible athletic ability of the competitors. I wanted in! So the next day I went to the Intro class and haven’t stopped going since. I realized repetition is boring, and worse, less productive than utilizing a wide range of movements from a variety of athletic disciplines. CrossFit keeps things interesting!
So here I am today, still learning and striving to be the best CrossFitter I can! I’m still working on my personal bests, beating my times, and lifting more. Everyday my body is continually getting fitter, faster, and stronger than the next and I get to surround myself with individuals who share that same passion and goal. It doesn’t get any better!

We found Mandi, or Mandi found us, during Fitness Elevated at the Olympic Oval. If you’re a CrossFitter you understand it’s impossible to resist the energy that builds in a venue during a CrossFit event. It’s truly contagious and addicting. Mandi was quickly hooked, her assimilation was fast. She jumped right in, started coaching and training and is competing with the Ute CrossFit All Stars at the CrossFit World Games this year. Mandi coaches our WOD, Elements and CrossFit Kids classes.
